To fix these problems, it would be best to upgrade to a better POS system that has more capabilities than the current one. I would recommend they try the TouchBistro POS system which, according to tech.co, is the best all around pos system for restaurants. With it, you'd be able to see the floor layout, split bills, place orders, have loyalty programs, vip network community, manage the menu and they also provide 24/7 support. Each department should have their own computer under the POS system so that if something runs out or a problem occurs, everyone would know about it.

To ensure that the ziosk's are always in use, the restaurant can make it so that you have to pay on the ziosk. This way, the ziosk's will always be in use and they won't lose their value.
